CAMERAWORK BLOG TASKS

 1) Pick three camera shots from the Doctor Who scene and explain what type of shot it is and what meanings or effect they have on the audience.

Medium Shot: it is when you can see the actors face and upper body is visible this means that they are showing the people are all on face-time to each other so they are discussing the problem with the doctor

Medium close up shot: This is when you can see their face but has a vision of the background and this could show that when she was showing the recording tape to her business people it could mean that is had a important part to the whole mission and it could lead to some clue to what happens next.

Close up: A close up is when the camera is showing a specific part of the body and its zoomed in. At this point of this close up is that they are showing the frustration and anger she has to make it more intense for the audience to see and to relies that this is anger and frustration being shown.     

 2) Pick one camera angle that is used in the scene and explain the effect it has on the audience. 

Low angle: This makes the actors look big and powerful. This could mean that they are the main character in this part of this shot and that they are in control of many things so that they should listen and follow the rules. The man who is trying to suggest a dangerous plan that they could use but it could go wrong.


3) Pick one aspect of mise-en-scene from the scene and explain what connotations are being communicated to the audience.

Lighting: In this scene where they have a malfunction with the computers and it was flashing red lights could mean that they are in danger and that they have minimal time to try and fix it.The media code that they are trying to make the audience engaged with the drama that is happening so that they can make the people who are watching feel like they are on the edge of their seat
